Rangefinders To Be Introduced Into Competition Across All Four Tours This Month

The LPGA announced today that VOICE CADDIE, a leading rangefinder company based in the Republic of Korea, has been named Official Rangefinder of the LPGA Tour in a multi-year agreement. VOICE CADDIE will also be the official rangefinder of the Symetra Tour, LET, LET Access Series and LPGA Professionals, and will be the presenting sponsor of the LPGA Professionals National Championship in July.

VOICE CADDIE will provide every LPGA Tour, Symetra Tour, LET and LET Access Series player with an SL2 Laser Rangefinder, which has a special competition mode to ensure players and caddies do not have access to certain functionality prohibited under the Rules of Golf during play.

“We are excited to welcome VOICE CADDIE to the LPGA Partner family. Their commitment to the LPGA and our Tours shows they value the women’s game and want to provide our players with the best equipment to excel on the course,” said Heather Daly-Donofrio, the LPGA’s Chief Tour Operations Officer. “This marks the first time that rangefinder technology will be used on our elite Tours. As a former Tour player myself, I am very impressed with the VOICE CADDIE technology and am confident that our players will find the VOICE CADDIE product a valuable part of their shot-planning and ultimately their performance.”

Rangefinders will first be put into LPGA Tour competition in two weeks at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Players will then be permitted to use rangefinder technology at most LPGA Tour and LET events for the first time in the history of both Tours. The Symetra Tour and LET Access Series have permitted usage of rangefinders in competition since 2020.

“I’m so appreciative of VOICE CADDIE for their support of our Tours,” said Amy Olson, an LPGA Tour Member and Player Director on the LPGA Board of Directors. “I’ve found the product very easy to use in my practice and it will be a great addition to my golf bag as we start using rangefinders in competition.”

VOICE CADDIE has enjoyed the No. 1 market share in the rangefinder category in Korea for the last three years and is actively expanding into the United States market. Their technology utilizes a laser beam and GPS to provide accurate distances in any environment, reducing incorrect measurements or chances of focusing on the wrong object. The SL2, their newest model, has an state-of-the-art Auto Pin Location feature that enables the user to quickly find an exact hole location.

“VOICE CADDIE is proud to be a sponsor of the LPGA Tour,” said Juno Kim, Founder and CEO of VOICE CADDIE. “We look forward to LPGA Professionals utilizing our state-of-the-art laser rangefinders in play as well as the renowned global recognition our partnership with the LPGA Tour will provide in the years to come.”
