The Lo Romero Golf Invitational 2026 has successfully raised €63,000 for
Fundación Dar de Sí, following a memorable day of golf, generosity and community
spirit that brought together 68 players at Lo Romero Golf in Pilar de la Horadada.
The funds raised through player participation, corporate sponsorship and
donations will be used to support the work of Fundación Dar de Sí at Residencia
Lola del Pasico, a leading residential centre in Torre Pacheco dedicated to
improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities.
The tournament was promoted by Pedro Jiménez Ruiz, President of Lo Romero
Golf, whose longstanding commitment to the Foundation and personal
involvement in the event have helped establish the Lo Romero Golf Invitational as
one of the region’s most significant charity golf tournaments.
“Events such as this demonstrate what can be achieved when businesses,
institutions and individuals come together to support an important social cause,”
said representatives of the organising committee.
Throughout the day, participants enjoyed an outstanding golfing experience in an
atmosphere defined by friendship, sportsmanship and solidarity.
A particularly emotional moment during the prize presentation ceremony came
when Banco Mediolanum presented a charitable donation cheque for €10,000.
The donation was formally handed over by Iván Ruiz, representing Banco
Mediolanum, and received by Ascensión Méndez, President of Fundación Dar de
Sí, reinforcing both organisations’ shared commitment to inclusion and support for
people with intellectual disabilities.
The organisers would like to extend their sincere thanks to the Valencian Golf
Federation, official event sponsor PUJANTE, and all companies that supported the
tournament through sponsorship of the course’s 18 holes:
ENSOLAR, RDS HOME, MAPELEC, BIG MAT, FLORISTERÍA FERNANDO HIJO,
