A leader in continued innovation, John Deere has introduced its newest technological advancements, including enhanced machine telematics and monitoring capabilities, to the OnLink platform. The 2022 models will feature JDLink telematics abilities and various OnEquip updates, enabling John Deere to leverage industry-leading technology and software to unlock additional functionality and customer value.
“We are thrilled to introduce new technological advancements to the golf industry, further driving our commitment to provide smart technologies and enhanced machine capabilities to our customers”, said David Anderson, product manager, John Deere. “Our continued innovations in technology and production have helped us stay a leader in the golf industry while continuing to elevate technology’s place in the game of golf.
New features within the OnLink platform include basic mapping, usage analysis, updates to OnEquip and data from JDLink telematics. The newly updated basic mapping feature shows a machine’s precise location on an integrated map at any time, allowing for increased accountability of equipment. These features also reduce the amount of time needed to find equipment on the job and can trace the path taken by a given piece of equipment during daily activities. New telematics capabilities through JDLink technology are also included in the 2022 updates and provide customers with real-time usage analysis. By utilizing this data, customers can identify machine efficiencies and increase visibility to machine usage, helping keep operators more productive on the job.
The latest OnEquip updates within the OnLink platform reduce the amount of time needed to manually enter time on non-telematic equipment, reducing the time needed to enter hours on the equipment. These user-friendly updates also help improve current maintenance schedules by creating pre-scheduled maintenance intervals that align with the current factory-recommended plans to maintain machine health and capabilities. The updates also provide estimated summaries for the cost of operation for each machine and offer real-time and historical cost information, helping owners make more informed business decisions.
Additional 2022 updates include the capability for customers to link their Machine Analyzer and Field Analyzer through OnLink to allow for easier navigation between OnLink and additional John Deere digital solutions. Also, within the operations center, customers can now access JDLink features, such as telematic mapping, user analysis, JDLink alerts and connected support. JDLink alerts offer increased machine awareness and peace of mind knowing that a machine is being used and stored properly.
New connected support features enabled by JDLink include remote machine diagnostics capabilities. These operational improvements help increase uptime by reducing diagnostic and repair times, keeping machines up and running on the job.
The latest OnLink system updates are available on the full 2022 lineup of John Deere golf ride-on equipment and can be added to select model year 2020 and 2021 machines. For the latest news and product information from John Deere, please visit www.JohnDeere.comwww.JohnDeere.com/Golf.
