Nine-hole floodlit golf course in the heart of the Yas Acres residential community

Exceptional F&B experiences, swimming pool, gym and padel tennis courts on site

Opening to the public on 25 November

Abu Dhabi, UAE: Aldar Properties (‘Aldar’) has announced the launch of Yas Acres Golf & Country Club, its newest lifestyle destination on Yas Island. It is the first golf course to open in one of Aldar’s residential communities and the second golf course developed by Aldar, following the success of Yas Links Abu Dhabi. The course is set to become Abu Dhabi’s premium night-time golf course, offering golfers the chance to hit the fairways from 9am until 9pm each day.
The club is located in the heart of Yas Acres and will open to the public on 25 November. Golf enthusiasts will have access to a world-class nine-hole golf course nestled within the community across 130 acres. Designed by leading golf course architects Fry/Straka, a signature feature is a meandering ridgeline that runs through the centre of the course, while a lake and stream system flows throughout, supporting native desert plants and vegetation. The par-36 course offers five distinct tee box options and a spacious Golf Academy driving range with access to a variety of amenities including an onsite shop, a floodlit practice area, and locker rooms.

Residents, members, and visitors will enjoy a mouth-watering European food experience and uniquely social atmosphere at Roots Bar & Kitchen, while a selection of additional exciting F&B concepts will open in early 2022. All eateries at the club boast access to a large terrace with views of the golf course. Guest can also enjoy a range of leisure facilities including a swimming pool, children’s swimming play area, gym and fitness studio, and four padel tennis courts.

Meqdad Al Mubarak, Chief Portfolio Officer at Aldar Investment, said: At Aldar, our focus is to deliver memorable experiences that cater to the desires of our customers. We are proud to launch the first facility of its kind in Abu Dhabi, offering both world-class golf and a country club experience in the heart of one of the capital’s most in-demand communities. Whether guests are looking for an active day on the course or a family friendly atmosphere, they will be able to enjoy a wide range of leisure, exercise and exceptional F&B experiences at Yas Acres Golf and Country Club.”
Dana Fry of Fry/Straka Global Golf Course Design said: “Yas Acres Golf Club is a big course on 130 acres with a massive ridge that reaches close to 10 meters high with desert vegetation on it and lakes and flowing streams running along it. Add in the dramatic bunkering on the course and perhaps the best practice facilities in the U.A.E. and it won’t be long before Yas Acres takes its place among the best golf facilities in the region. Aldar wanted Yas Acres to be a world class companion course to Yas Links which I consider to be the best course in the Middle East.”
Yas Acres becomes the third golf course in Aldar’s portfolio, alongside Yas Links Abu Dhabi and Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, which was acquired in 2018. The new club is located within Yas Acres, where Aldar recently launched two new communities, Magnolias and Dahlias, which are set for handover in 2024. Construction has already completed for the first two phases of the community which includes properties in Redwoods, Aspens and Cedars.
