Whoosh, Inc., the leader in modern club operations software, has announced a new integration with RemoteLock, a leader in cloud-based access control solutions. This partnership enables facilities using both technologies to easily grant facility access to only those with a confirmed reservation, eliminating the need for manual key exchanges or physical check-ins.

RemoteLock’s universal access control platform integrates with leading smart lock brands and wired access hardware, ensuring secure and flexible access management for golf simulator facilities, sports complexes, racquet clubs, and other 24/7 or unmanned recreational spaces that are using Whoosh for reservations and operations. By eliminating the need for front-desk staffing, facilities can increase their profit margins by ensuring that every booking directly contributes to revenue, without the overhead cost of additional staff.

“Our integration-first approach enables us to provide deeper functionality to our customers, all the while building relationships with other best-in-class providers. By integrating automated access control into our reservations platform with RemoteLock, we’re giving operators the ability to streamline their workflows, improve security, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. More importantly though, we are enabling them to increase profitability by reducing the reliance on on-site staff, making every booking more lucrative,” said Colin Read, Whoosh’s Co-Founder and CEO.[1]

How It Works

Once the integration is enabled, operators can link smart locks to entry ways, specific courts/bays, or other designated areas of their facility, ensuring that only authorized users gain entry during their scheduled time. Staff can also set a window for when the access code is available for customers (e.g., 15 minutes before and after their slot time). Time-sensitive access codes are then auto-generated and shared with security customers via email and within the Whoosh booking app. Staff also has access to the generated codes and can always re-send in a pinch. If a facility ever chooses to disable RemoteLock, access can be revoked instantly, ensuring full control at all times.

RemoteLock’s platform is trusted by property managers in over 75 countries, simplifying remote access management for multifamily housing, vacation rentals, and commercial properties. Now, with Whoosh’s reservation and operations platform, sports and recreation facilities can benefit from the same level of automation and security, ensuring guests and members enjoy a hassle-free experience.

“Our goal at RemoteLock is to make on-site property operations simple and scalable through access control for any property type,” said Barclay Friesen, Senior Vice President of Business Development. “By integrating with Whoosh, we’re extending this convenience to their current and potential customers, allowing for time-sensitive, unique access without the burden of around-the-clock management.[2]

This collaboration highlights Whoosh’s continued efforts to modernize facility management through cutting-edge integrations. By combining reservations, scheduling, and secure access control, Whoosh and RemoteLock are redefining the standard for unmanned and 24/7 facilities.
