The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club (AELTC) provided a fitting venue for the annual dinner of The Club Managers’ Association of Europe’s England Region (CMAE England) as members gathered to discuss a fascinating last 12 months in the industry.

Best known for annually hosting the world-famous Wimbledon tennis tournament, the dinner at the AELTC offered the perfect opportunity for members and non-members to engage with industry colleagues from a variety of different clubs including City, Golf, Sailing, and Tennis.

As well as the chance to network, the evening also provided the occasion to honour the achievements of several members within the CMAE England’s educational pathway, with Jack Clegg, Charles Molony, Joshua Moses and Sam Nicholson all gaining club management diplomas in the last year.

There were also four new certified club managers as Yassen Yankov, Scott Patience, Frank O’Donnell and Alex Woodward were recognised after completing the CMAE Certified Club Manager (CCM) qualification – the highest standard of its kind in Europe.

The dinner is one of many events in the CMAE England’s calendar, with ongoing Management Development Programme (MDP) sessions and the meeting of the Young Managers Group who next meet on December 8 at the Caledonian Club, London.

With so many networking opportunities, CMAE England has marked itself out as the leading group for club managers internationally, offering members the chance to form and benefit from a tight industry network.

Tristan Hall CCM, Managing Director at Sunningdale Golf Club and Chairman of CMAE England, said: “The annual dinner at the AELTC was a fantastic success and it was great to see so many attendees reaping the rewards of such a large and wide-ranging networking opportunity in the club manager industry. As you would expect Wimbledon produced a five-star evening and this was enjoyed by all in attendance.

“CMAE England offers great opportunities for both personal development and education and as we move into 2022, we believe that we can continue to build on the foundations we have placed this year to help grow our membership further.”
