Al Houara Golf Club in Morocco is celebrating a successful first year under the Troon International division management as a Troon Golf branded facility.
After engaging Troon International – the international division of Troon, the world’s largest golf hospitality management company – at the end of 2023, the facility has seen remarkable growth through enhanced operations and significant financial improvements.
The venue has also recruited respected industry professional Cameron Procter as new Director of Golf, overseeing the 18-hole course and associated facilities.
Procter, who previously served as Corporate Director of Golf for Lopesan Hotels and has held management positions at golf venues in Spain and his native Canada, will lean on his two-plus decades of experience to facilitate Al Houara’s growth within the sport.

Since coming under Troon International management, Al Houara Golf Club has enjoyed a transformational year:
- 68 per cent increase in rounds played – a testament to enhanced guest experience and operational efficiency.
- More than €250,000 improvement in Gross Operating Profit (GOP) through strategic cost management and revenue optimisation.
- Key recruitment initiatives – appointment of Cameron Proctor as Director of Golf, as well as two Troon Task Force experts deployed to elevate standards.
- Tourism expansion – successfully opened the venue to international tourism, including attracting the Pro Group segment.
- Secured and Hosted Professional Tour events – back-to-back Clutch Pro Tour events in April and May 2025.
