Royal Oak Golf Center is widely recognized as one of Michigan’s premiere golf practice facilities. One of the many factors that make Royal Oak such a great facility was the implementation of Power Tee back in July of 2017 when they decided to install thirty-two machines on the driving range. Now you can find 45 machines after their recent upgrade.
When asked what made him want to install Power Tee, General Manager Glenn Pulice said many things factored into them putting in Power Tee. Glenn said, “There were quite a few things I liked about Power Tee when I first saw it, number one being the customer experience. Having the ball teed up for people I thought was cool and super easy to use. Glenn noted that he has been able to accommodate more golfers with Power Tee now on the range.
Power Tee has helped speed up the driving range process immensely. Royal Oak is seeing far more customers come in and out as people can hit balls at a faster pace. “Customers love these machines, for a lot of first timers they haven’t seen anything like it and want to give it a try. For some of our other customers, they just enjoy the ease with which it can be used”. Glenn stated that an NHL player from the Detroit Red Wings is always hitting off Power Tee, he loves the fact that he can come in and hit balls without putting any strain on his back.
Since the new upgrade of Power Tees at Royal Oak Golf Center, they have seen previous single day ball sales records shattered. Three days after the new installation, Royal Oak saw 68,000 balls purchased in one day, breaking the previous record by more than 6,000 golf balls. Royal Oak has seen multiple days now of ball sales upwards of 60,000 since upgrading to more Power Tee units.
