New 18-hole championship course to open on Dalaman Coast next summer, heralding new era for Turkish golf

The Hilton Dalaman Sarıgerme Resort & Spa has partnered with global golf, tourism and lifestyle PR and marketing experts Azalea at the birth of a new international golf destination on Turkey’s breathtaking Dalaman Coast.

The exclusive luxury resort will work closely with Azalea, leveraging the company’s extensive expertise in the golf, leisure and travel sectors to promote the new golf club and its 18-hole championship course to key international audiences.

Located just a 20-minute drive from Dalaman International Airport and managed by Hilton Dalaman Sarıgerme Resort & Spa, the new par-72 course is scheduled to open next June. Offering uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean, it is set to become one of the most beautiful and prestigious golfing experiences in Turkey.

One of the most well-preserved natural areas in southwestern Turkey, the Dalaman region has long beaches, rich vegetation, lakes that serve as a stopover for migratory birds and a favourable climate almost year-round, making it the ideal location for an overseas break.

Opened in 2009, the Hilton Dalaman Sarıgerme Resort & Spa boasts an enviable location on the edge of the Dalaman River and Mediterranean Sea for guests to enjoy. Featuring a choice of luxury accommodation, the all-inclusive resort offers an outstanding array of sports and lifestyle facilities, a private beach and a wide selection of bars and restaurants showcasing a variety of local and international cuisines.

Renowned as a leading player in the golf, lifestyle and tourism industry, Azalea works with some of Europe’s major tourist boards, flagship golf clubs, luxury resorts and leading brands, with vast experience in launching new courses, enhancing reputation and raising brand awareness.

Umit Yasar Atalay, general manager at Hilton Dalaman Sarıgerme Resort & Spa, said: “The vision is to establish Dalaman as a recognised hub for international golf tourism, and Azalea’s pedigree was an obvious choice to help us achieve our goal. They have a proven track record within the industry for delivering results, and their knowledge and expertise will be invaluable as we set about creating a new chapter for golf in Turkey.”

Founded in 2006, Azalea has established itself as one of the most respected international PR and marketing specialists for the golf, tourism, leisure and lifestyle sectors with a portfolio that includes acclaimed properties such as Costa Navarino, Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, Quinta do Lago, Apes Hill Barbados, Trump Turnberry, Verdura Resort, Troon International, Al Zorah and Terras da Comporta alongside lifestyle and performance brands.
