Royal County Down Golf Club, one of the most prestigious golf courses in the world, has announced its partnership with Obbi, a leading safety, compliance, and training management platform, as the club recently hosted the highly anticipated Irish Open 2024. This year’s tournament, took place 12-15 September, seen top golfers including Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry returning to compete, alongside defending champion Vincent Norrman.

The decision to collaborate with Obbi follows a thorough evaluation process, during which Royal County Down selected the platform for its comprehensive and user-friendly approach to streamlining key operational tasks.

Obbi brings together all the separate elements of safety and compliance like checklists, staff training, risk assessments – into one easily manageable place. With a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for both members and guests, this partnership will allow Royal County Down to focus on its world-class service by streamlining safety, compliance and training.

Although the club is in the early phases of integrating the Obbi platform, both parties are confident that the full implementation will lead to significant improvements in day-to-day operations, with long-term benefits that extend across safety, compliance, and training management.

“We’re excited to work with Obbi and anticipate great things as we move forward with the implementation,” said David Morgan, Secretary at Royal County Down Golf Club. “Our goal is to improve our operational efficiency so that our team can continue focusing on delivering a premium experience for our members and guests.”
