Gloria Golf Club has taken a major step into the world of driving range technology, by adding a TrackMan system that looks set to revolutionise the Turkish resort’s range experience as the very first of its kind to be installed by a European resort.

Gloria Golf Club has taken a major step into the world of driving range technology, by adding a TrackMan system that looks set to revolutionise the Turkish resort’s range experience as the very first of its kind to be installed by a European resort.

Now open to the public, the state-of-the-art system is used by more than 10,000 professionals and instructors across the world, utilising a doppler radar system to display a variety of fun games and ball tracking software to 27-inch touchscreens in each bay.

For more experienced players who are looking to master their game ready for application out on the three courses at Gloria GC, the software allows users to track and view ball speed, carry, launch angle, precise distances and shot shaping.

This is displayed across the 48 screens on the range, giving golfers the crucial information required to improve their game.

The TrackMan system is not just for the tech-savvy golf expert. Fun mini-games such as ‘Longest Drive’, ‘Nearest-to-the-Pin’ and ‘Bull’s Eye’, allows guests to compete against each other and the leaderboards, the system opening up golfing to a whole new audience of beginners and families.

Golfers can access the data and graphics on their smartphones at any time using TrackMan’s mobile application, which is all available at no charge and provides the opportunity to keep a close eye on scores and performance.

As well as the range, Gloria GC also offers two 18-hole championship courses, the “Old Course” and “New Course”, and the 9-hole Verde Course, which combines with the new TrackMan technology to make Gloria GC the largest and most complete golf resort in Turkey.

David Clare, Director of Golf at Gloria Golf Club, said: “The TrackMan technology is an exciting addition for the resort, as it offers something for everyone, whether you are a golf expert or a novice looking to have some fun with friends.

“In addition to the three golf courses, this investment continues to build the resort as the biggest of its kind in Turkey, and we look forward to seeing the scores that people can record on the system, it’s an exciting time for golfers here at Gloria Golf Club!”

Situated less than half an hour from Antalya International Airport, Gloria GC celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2022 and offers a wide range of accommodation with three luxurious five-star resorts on the beach: Gloria Golf Resort, Gloria Verde Resort and Gloria Serenity Resort.

In addition, the Gloria Sports Arena – built over an area of 105,000m2 – offers a state-of-the-art venue for more than 50 indoor, outdoor and aquatic sports with exceptional rehabilitation and physical conditioning facilities for elite athletes and is a regular training base for some of the world’s top sporting teams and individuals.
