The Golf Challenge APP is set to become a golden ticket into the 2022 NSW Open for one lucky athlete.

Over the next three months, on any course or golf simulator anywhere around the world, professional and elite amateurs who take on the NSW Open Q Series Golf Challenge can play their way into a winner-take-all final at Concord Golf Club on the Monday of the NSW Open week.

The ultimate winner is guaranteed a place in the 2022 Championship field.

The format of the NSW Open Q Series Challenge is a six-hole Course Challenge, Putting Challenge, Bunker Challenge, Nearest the Pin (NTP) Challenge, and Up & Down Challenge.

Each player taking part will score using the Golf Challenge App and its 100-point scoring system. There will also be a series leader board to keep track of the top qualifiers.

Our vision is to provide a new way to play golf, while practising or playing a tournament,” Golf Challenge CEO Clive Mayhew said. “It’s so simple, play the Golf Challenge NSW Open Q Series at any course, at any time, as many times as you like, anywhere in the world,”

Golf NSW Chief Operating Officer Graeme Phillipson said the Golf Challenge NSW Open Q Series was a novel way for someone to practise and play their way into the NSW Open.

“The Golf Challenge NSW Open Q Series provides is an excellent opportunity for a professional or elite amateur to secure their place in the field for the Golf Challenge NSW Open 2022.

“It’s certainly innovative and a nod to the future of golf,” Mr Phillipson added.

The Golf Challenge App is a free and easy to use scoring app to help golfers play the Golf Challenge. The App keeps track of their score, sharing their performance data with the players card and a live scoreboard for events. The Golf Challenge consists of different golf skill challenges using the players handicap to keep it exciting and fun for all.
