Golf technology company Pin Vision has announced that it will bring its innovative GPS technology to golf courses across the UK from 2024.
With a mission statement to “never again leave golfers in doubt about the distance to the flag,” Pin Vision provides precise measurements from anywhere on the golf course, based on up-to-date pin position information provided by greenkeeping staff.
Already partnered with more than 50 clubs across Italy, where the brand was founded in 2021, Pin Vision has engaged leading PR and marketing specialists Azalea to oversee its UK public relations.
Players can use the Pin Vision app on their phone or watch to check the current pin position from anywhere on the course and have the option to mark their tallies on a digital scorecard unique to each course.
Greenkeepers can easily update the pin positions via mobile devices each time they move the flag; golfers who prefer not to use the app can still benefit from Pin Vision’s expertise by using physical pin position sheets.
Club staff can also take advantage of an ever-growing list of supporting course management features, including the ability to track user statistics in real time and send relevant notifications to golfers.
Respected clubs in the UK have already begun trialling Pin Vision software, with official partner club announcements expected in the near future.
