“This partnership with the Women in Golf Awards is an extension of the work we are already carrying out as a Foundation, using golf as a vehicle to drive opportunity for young people in the UK. We aim to enable them to experience the life-time rewards of golf, not only as a sport, but providing access to wider opportunities within the golf industry and golfing community,” commented Kate Rose, Chair of The Kate & Justin Rose Foundation.

The Women in Golf Awards and The Kate & Justin Rose Foundation are launching a new bursary scheme for women under the age of 21 to access education and professional development opportunities to progress their career in golf.  Applications to the fund can be made twice annually through the Women in Golf Awards website.

“This is an initiative that we have been working on since the first Women in Golf Awards, so we are incredibly grateful to the Kate & Justin Rose Foundation for supporting our ambition to help nurture the future female leaders of our industry,” commented Founder of the Women in Golf Awards Nicole Wheatley. “There are many incredibly talented young women in the industry who reach a crossroads in their career.  If we can provide funding for them to access training and development opportunities that inspire them to achieve their ambitions within golf, the industry as a whole will benefit.”

Applications to the bursary, which totals £10,000 per annum, can be made for any continual professional development courses run by golf’s governing bodies or for courses delivered by their educational providers.  Applications for other activities that progress women’s careers in golf will also be considered.

The first application period will start on February 1st 2026.  Applicants must be under 21 on the day that they apply and have full details of the opportunity they wish to apply for.  For more information, including the application for, please visit https://www.womeningolfawards.co.uk/kateandjustinrosefoundation
