ECCO® GOLF ambassador, Lydia Ko, delivered a stellar performance this week at Tiburon Golf Club, as she and her playing partner triumphed at the inaugural Grant Thornton Invitational.
The tournament was the first co-sanctioned PGA Tour and LPGA Tour event since 1999, and saw players from each tour team up in pairs over three rounds.
Wearing her signature edition ECCO BIOM® G5, Ko and her playing partner went into the final round knowing they would need to go low to come out on top, and duly delivered as they combined to shoot a six-under-par 66 on Sunday.
The win, which came against 15 other teams featuring a host of the world’s best players from both the men’s and women’s game, is the perfect way for Ko to return to the winner’s circle and prepare for the 2024 season.
“Obviously, this is the best way to cap off a year like I had. I won the first event of the season and I won the last one. I would like to cut everything in between. But in saying that, all those moments make you the player you are now,” Commented Ko.
“I think this has just been a great start for the two tours coming together and having a mixed event, and I really hope this is something that continues for a long time.” She added.
