Innovative golf simulator software company Great Detail has introduced two ‘real’ golf courses to Awesome Golf Simulator plus exciting additions to some of its most popular features.
Existing users across all compatible launch monitors will receive access to Wentworth’s historic West Course and Dubai’s spectacular Majlis course at the Emirates Golf Club as part of its 3.0 software update. 3.0 also includes a new Virtual Golf leaderboard, global Virtual Golf competitions, 5 new clubs to play with and golden bricks in its iconic Wrecking Balls game.
A team of in-house developers has been working on the courses since signing the licensing agreement earlier this year, perfecting the software. The product has undergone extensive Beta testing in recent months with Frank Fasano from Golficity commenting: “Make no mistake, this is the Awesome Golf update we’ve all been waiting for! The addition of two new championship, 18-hole virtual golf courses takes the program to a whole new level, and makes it one of the most well-rounded and robust golf simulator software programs we’ve ever tested.”
As well as creating a realistic representation of these famous courses, the team has manually adapted the courses to give users a choice of 5 different tee positions – just as there are in the existing virtual Awesome golf courses. This makes these championships courses enjoyable and playable for golfers of all ages and abilities, with the shortest tee position ensuring that the course in play has no hazards.
