Supporting the next generation of women leaders in the golf industry
The Women in Golf Awards (WiGA) is delighted to announce the reopening of the Kate & Justin Rose Foundation Bursary, reaffirming its commitment to increasing opportunities, championing diversity, and supporting women pursuing careers across the golf industry.
Established through a partnership between the Women in Golf Awards and the Kate & Justin Rose Foundation, the bursary is designed to help women aged 21 and under to overcome financial barriers to professional development, education, training, and career progression within golf.
“We are thrilled to reopen the Kate & Justin Rose Foundation Bursary and continue supporting women who are passionate about building successful careers in golf,” commented founder of The Women in Golf Awards Nicole Wheatley. “The bursary provides meaningful assistance to individuals who have the ambition and talent to make a difference in our industry, helping them take the next step in their professional journey.”
Applications for the bursary are now open, providing aspiring and established professionals with the opportunity to access funding that can support qualifications, career-enhancing programmes, mentoring opportunities, and other initiatives that contribute to their growth within the industry.
Kate Rose explains, “At the Kate & Justin Rose Foundation, we believe in creating opportunities that empower children and young people to reach their potential. We are proud to continue our partnership with the Women in Golf Awards and support young women who are striving to make a lasting impact within the game.”
The Women in Golf Awards was created to celebrate, inspire, and recognise the achievements of women working throughout golf, while helping to create a more inclusive future for the sport. The reopening of the bursary reflects the shared vision of both organisations to encourage greater participation and representation at every level of the game.
The bursary has already helped 3 young women access valuable development opportunities, enabling them to gain new skills, increase confidence, and advance their careers. Eligible applicants are encouraged to submit details of how the funding would support their professional development and contribute to their long-term ambitions within golf.

Applications are open from September 1st and will close on November 30th.
