Redbourn Golf Club is embarking on an exciting new chapter with a major investment into its driving range facilities and the appointment of a highly experienced new General Manager, Richard Stilwell.
Work is already underway on a project that will see the creation of six premium driving range bays to add to the existing 20, featuring Trackman technology, Sky TV screens, heated padded seating, and automatic ball dispensers. In addition, there will be a tour-standard custom fitting studio and a brand-new fully equipped food and beverage bar serving guests directly to their bays. The £750,000 investment represents a significant commitment to delivering one of the most modern and engaging practice facilities in the region, designed to provide a first-class experience for seasoned golfers, families looking for a day out, and newcomers to the game.
Alongside this ambitious project, the club recently welcomed Richard Stilwell as its new General Manager. Stilwell began his career as a PGA Professional specialising in junior coaching before moving into golf club management, holding roles at Mid Herts and Verulam Golf Clubs. Most recently, he spent three years as General Manager at Dunstable Downs Golf Club, where he successfully increased membership figures, reintroduced joining fees, and generated new external business opportunities that strengthened the club’s long-term position.

Construction is progressing well, with foundations already laid and further groundworks planned in the coming weeks. The project is set to be complete with the driving range extension ready for use by February 2026.
