Golf Genius, the leading provider of cloud-based golf software solutions, has announced year-on-year growth of its integrated competition management and tee time solution in partnership with BRS Golf.

In 2020, the two companies formed a strategic collaboration to provide golf facilities with a combined, best-in-class solution that offers more choice to every golf facility seeking greater efficiency and value. The reported figures in product adoption and usage across GB&I demonstrates fast-growing acceptance amongst golf facilities of this value offering. The report includes:

  • 12,500 Golf events powered by the BRS Golf & Golf Genius product;
  • 500,000 Golfing rounds powered by the BRS Golf & Golf Genius product.

“The pandemic put a spotlight on what golf facilities required from their software providers in order to satisfy the changing needs of their members; both old and new,” comments Craig Higgs, Managing Director at Golf Genius International.

“We have worked tirelessly these past three years with BRS and our ever-growing base of customers to cater for their needs in this new reality. We will continue to listen, invest and respond to our customer’s feedback, as this will ensure we can provide every golf facility with a software solution that elevates their end-to-end golfer experience.”

The BRS Golf & Golf Genius product is fully integrated software that golf clubs can use to manage their tee sheet and competitions. It combines the BRS Golf members booking website and mobile app with Golf Genius’ Tournament Management product to create a single sign-on (SSO) solution for golfers.

Now entering its fourth year of existence, golf facilities and clubs such as Collingtree Park, Cleeve Hill, Carus Green, Bentham and Fereneze are utilising the software to run member competitions and open events, whilst maximising their operational efficiencies in the process.

Colin Millar, Handicap Secretary at Carus Green Golf Club, added: “My advice for other golf clubs and their committee members who are thinking of adopting Golf Genius is: don’t be afraid of change. The only way things are ever going to get better is by changing. It will make the transition to Golf Genius as smooth as possible and enable you to get the most out of the system.”

Further to this news and in keeping with the last three years, Golf Genius will make additional investments to the product, including the release of a new ‘Event Dashboard+’ feature for competition organisers, enhancements to the Score Input Terminal to cater for more formats and competition preferences, as well as the introduction of a preferred hardware supplier.
