SkimTurf Management is now connected with the John Deere Operations Center™ through the John Deere API services. This connection allows golf course superintendents to leverage SkimTurf data and easily use it in their equipment for precise spraying. Based on SkimTurf precise measurements on the entire golf course (visualization maps of vegetation indices, nutrient levels in the plant tissue and soil moisture), superintendents can review the performance of specific areas before easily creating prescription zones. That allows golf course operations to be as efficient as possible. From fertilizers, wetting agents, plant growth regulators (PGRs), to bio stimulants, the connection between SkimTurf and the Operation Center allows to focus resources where they are needed the most.

“Our goal is to provide a solution that automates turf condition monitoring and fosters data-driven operations, allowing superintendents to focus on precise turf management decisions while making the most of their SkimTurf data and broader ecosystem of solutions. The connection between SkimTurf and John Deere Operations Center™ delivers exactly that by simplifying the preparation and execution of targeted applications on the golf course” Frederic Paczkowski, General Manager at SkimTurf Management.

Precise spraying prescriptions have a direct impact on golf course maintenance and the delivery of uniform playing conditions, while minimizing excessive clippings, labor manual tasks, product and equipment usage. Equally important is sustainability. Precise decisions help limit the golf course environmental impact by reducing unnecessary applications and lowering the risk of nutrient loss or chemical exposure to surrounding ecosystems. Finally, data provides accountability and long-term insights, helping courses plan smarter, justify decisions, and continuously improve.

In the SkimTurf Management App, users have a new “Prescriptions” module which allows to define prescription zones based on the desired measurement range of the selected parameters. All measurements, within that range will automatically be gathered into a prescription map, which can be sent to John Deere Operations Center™ and used by the GPS Sprayer.
