Noteefy has launched its AI Pro Shop Assistant, a generative AI tool built specifically for golf course operations. The system is designed to handle the routine calls that often tie up pro shop staff, from checking tee times to confirming range hours.
The National Golf Foundation has been studying golf course phone traffic and notes that most shops field about 50 calls a day, with higher volumes at facilities offering more amenities. The report is expected later this month.
Each course trains the assistant with its own documentation — such as tee sheets, amenities and policies — so answers are tailored to the property. The platform integrates into a course’s existing website and can respond to prompts such as:
- “When’s the next available tee time for two on a Saturday?”
- “Can I join the waitlist if my preferred time is full?”
- “What are the driving range hours?”
- “Is it cart path only?”
The tool has been piloted at dozens of courses using Noteefy’s tee time and revenue management software and is now available industrywide. American Golf plans to roll it out across its portfolio.
“At American Golf, we’re always looking to elevate the golfer experience while improving operational efficiency,” said Rick Crowder, vice president of revenue at American Golf. “The Noteefy AI Assistant lets us serve golfers 24/7, reduce inbound calls, and allow staff more time to maximize their tee time availability.”
Operators can track analytics such as how many AI conversations result in booked tee times or how often guests ask about weather conditions. The goal, said Noteefy CEO Jake Gordon, is to cut pro shop calls by as much as 50 percent while boosting transactions and improving service.
Gordon believes AI will be as transformative for golf operations as the internet and mobile platforms.
“Our AI Pro Shop Assistant is the first step in bringing this technology to life for operators in their day to day by answering guest questions instantly, saving time for golfers and staff while recapturing revenue lost to missed calls or abandoned bookings,” Gordon said.
Noteefy works with more than 800 courses on tee time and revenue optimization. The company will host a live demo of the assistant during a webinar, “The Future of AI in Golf Management,” on Aug. 28. Interested parties can register here.
