Close House, the official host venue of the 2017 and 2020 British Masters, have announced their Golden Ticket competition, giving one lucky group the chance of having attached touring professional, Lee Westwood, join them on the first tee for a memorable private golf clinic.

Westwood, who has had a close affiliation with Close House since the opening of the Colt Course in 2011, will join a winning group who have booked a stay and play package in 2023 – an exclusive prize for one group visiting the club next year.

If you book a group of 12 or more by 31st March 2023, you will be within a chance of meeting the former world number one and have the opportunity to seek out some helpful tips during a once in a lifetime golfing experience.

Jonathan Lupton, Managing Director at Close House, commented: “Imagine turning up to the first tee, and being greeted by Lee Westwood offering to help you with your game. That simply wouldn’t happen anywhere other than Close House. Lee has played a big role in the development of Close House, so the winners will definitely gain a well-rounded and informed insight into the courses.”

Close House is a world-class stay and play venue, with award winning food and stylish accommodation, all wrapped up in true North-eastern hospitality. Home-cooked meals meet elegance and class, in an unrivalled setting in the heart of the Northumberland countryside.

With two 18-hole Lee Westwood golf courses, a stylish No.19 clubhouse, and a luxury Courtyard accommodation on site, Close House offers the perfect golf getaway. Located only eight miles from central Newcastle, the club couldn’t be better situated for those looking to experience the city’s bright lights.

The Colt Course, set in the beautiful Tyne Valley, is one of the UK’s top courses and provides a strong test of golf for those looking to play on a Championship Course, fit for Tour professionals. The parkland style Filly course also offers stunning views of the River Tyne Valley, challenging golfers to implement a good strategy off the tee.

With three accommodation offerings, Close House have something for everyone – truly defining stylish living and include all the modern amenities you’d expect from a premium night’s stay.

The Courtyard is ideal for those seeking luxury, comfort, and a restful night’s sleep – fit for groups of all sizes. With the stay and play package, you can upgrade to the Lodge or Pavilion accommodation; both of which provide a private countryside stay.

To enquire about current packages, call 01661 852255 (option 4) or email enquiries@closehouse.co.uk.
