The Swedish Golf Federation (SGF) and Sweetspot have entered a long-term strategic partnership to accelerate the digital transformation of golf across the region. The agreement not only resolves a prior legal dispute – it marks a big shift in Nordic golf, as federations across the region begin to embrace external innovation.
“This partnership is about accelerating the digital transformation in Sweden. But it’s only the first step – our ambition is also to support both off-course and on-course development across the Nordics,” says Henrik Ahlin, CEO and Founder of Sweetspot.
The partnership includes the integration of Sweetspot’s off-course booking and payment platform into GIT, Sweden’s national golf IT system. This enables clubs to offer access to simulator golf, digital ranges and year-round training – fully integrated with traditional on-course play.
Nordic shift signals end of exclusivity
SGF’s Strategy 2031 prioritises flexible digital experiences to meet changing player behaviours. With Sweden now taking the lead, attention is turning to other Nordic markets.
As part of the Nordic golf community, Sweetspot has been part of ongoing conversations with the federations in Norway, Denmark and Finland on how to future-proof digital infrastructure. The momentum is already visible: both the Danish and Norwegian federations are about to open their national booking systems to multiple external vendors.
“This deal shows that the Nordic golf tech market is open,” says Ahlin. “Clubs want more choice, more insight, and a better experience for players. We’re glad to see the Swedish Golf Federation take the lead – and we look forward to continuing the dialogue across the Nordic region.”
Proven model, growing momentum
Sweetspot is already a leading platform for golf clubs, simulators and ranges across the Nordics. The company is also seeing rapid growth in the US, particularly in the fast-growing off-course segment.
Through integrations with Toptracer and Range Servant, Sweetspot delivers a complete digital platform combining bookings, payments, subscriptions, and analytics in one scalable platform.
