– Resort climbs three places to 29th in the latest Golf World Top 100 Continental Europe ranking
– Recognition follows a €1.85 million programme of investment aimed at enhancing course quality, playing conditions and overall golfer experience across the resort
Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca has strengthened its position among the continent’s leading golf destinations, climbing three places to 29th in the latest Golf World Top 100 Continental Europe ranking and breaking into the top 30 for the first time. The achievement follows a comprehensive €1.85 million investment across the resort over the past year.
Published once every two years, the ranking recognises premier destinations that balance world-class championship golf with refined hospitality, luxury accommodation, and an exceptional setting. Evaluated by an expert panel, the listing celebrates fully integrated resorts that deliver an elevated experience for discerning international golf travellers.
Golf World’s Top 100 Editor, Chris Bertram, praised the resort’s dramatic course transformation and upward trajectory, saying: “I see a lot of ‘transformations’ of courses and am often questioning where all the investment has gone. But after playing all three courses at Arabella Resort in Mallorca again this summer, I was questioning myself and not what the resort had done. I played them in 2018 and the difference across Son Muntaner, Son Quint and Son Vida made me wonder whether I had indeed played them before.

“The work done, to the tune of €1.85m, has been an outstanding success, and the golf plus its accommodation makes Arabella one of Europe’s finest resorts. I actually think they can get close to the top 20; it is really because the golf is so much better, and there is no question in my mind it is a resort of top-20 calibre.”
An award-winning European Tour Destination, Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca offers three 18-hole courses – the challenging Golf Son Muntaner, the historic Golf Son Vida, and the resort-style Golf Son Quint – alongside the nine-hole Palma Pitch & Putt and Toptracer-equipped Golf Academy.
Francisco Vila, CEO of Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca, said: “Entering Europe’s Top 30 is welcome recognition of the transformation taking place across Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca. Our investment has focused not only on course quality and playing conditions, but on creating a fully integrated resort experience that brings together exceptional golf, hospitality and the distinctive character of Mallorca”.
Located just 20 minutes from Palma’s international airport, the 63-hole resort is complemented by a comprehensive world of leisure and gastronomic experiences across two luxury hotels. Guests can choose between the historic five-star Castillo Hotel Son Vida, celebrated for its heritage, wellness facilities, and dining at Es Balcó de Son Vida overlooking the Bay of Palma, and the family-friendly Sheraton Mallorca Arabella Golf Hotel, home to the Shine Spa, tennis courts, and the open-air La Bodega del Green restaurant.
With 300 days of annual sunshine and a setting that offers breathtaking vistas of the Bay of Palma, Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca combines world-class golf with award-winning luxury hospitality, solidifying its reputation as one of Europe’s must-visit golf destinations.
