Rolex Testimonee Adam Scott Reaches a Special Century at the 2026 U.S. OPEN

The 2026 U.S. Open will feature an extraordinary golfing milestone as Rolex Testimonee Adam Scott contests his 100th consecutive major championship. The Australian will showcase his exceptional longevity, resilience and dedication on the classic links-style course at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, New York, from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 June. This 25-year streak began in 2001 with The Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club in the United Kingdom, the same year he was welcomed into the Rolex family.

At the age of 45, Scott will reach this special century at the 126th edition of the U.S. Open, for which Rolex has been the Official Timekeeper since 1980. He is only the second player to achieve this incredible feat, following in the footsteps of fellow Rolex Testimonee Jack Nicklaus. The highlight of Scott’s streak came in 2013 when he won the Masters, a year before he overtook another member of the Rolex family, Tiger Woods, to become the World No. 1. He has much experience playing at Shinnecock Hills, both professionally and recreationally, and previously held the course record of 63, shot in 2013 during a casual round from the championship tees.

“I think I’ve done a good job staying healthy and staying fit and strong, and relevant to the modern game,” Scott says. “The biggest thing for me is leaning into my instinct and playing as much like a kid as I can. I think experience matters when it comes down to the end of the tournament, or if there are very unusual conditions during an event. I can give myself a pat on the back for hanging in there and playing all these events. I think there’s some luck in it, but I think I’ve had generally great advice around me from a physical and training standpoint that’s kept me healthy and pretty much injury free.”
Reflecting on his journey with Rolex by his side, Scott adds:
“I have been fortunate enough to be a Testimonee for 25 years now. I obviously know a lot about Rolex and what they do in the game of golf, along with many other areas. To think that they had the foresight to partner with a young kid from Australia who didn’t know much about the company or the game of golf at the age of 21 is quite incredible.”
Meanwhile, fellow Testimonee Scottie Scheffler has the opportunity to achieve a significant milestone of his own. The American will attempt to complete the career Grand Slam and join a small group of golfers to have won all four men’s majors, including other members of the Rolex family, Gary Player, Nicklaus and Woods. Patience, along with unceasing accuracy and precision, will be essential given the undulating terrain and challenging conditions across 72 holes at Shinnecock Hills. This historic venue has hosted the U.S. Open on five previous occasions and is one of the five founding member clubs of the United States Golf Association (USGA), in 1894.
“Patience is always a good thing,” Scheffler says. “Especially in a career like this, you need to ride the ups and downs, take the rough with the smooth. Golf is a very difficult game.”

Rolex Testimonees Ludvig Åberg, Hideki Matsuyama, Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas join Scheffler in attempting to win this prestigious tournament for the first time, while Bryson DeChambeau, Matt Fitzpatrick, Brooks Koepka, Jon Rahm and Jordan Spieth are among the returning former champions. Koepka does not need to look far for inspiration at Shinnecock Hills, having prevailed when the U.S. Open was last held there in 2018. It all makes for a captivating four days at this revered course as competitors battle it out not only for the U.S. Open Championship Trophy but also for the Jack Nicklaus Medal, renamed in honour of the sporting legend and member of the Rolex family.
