Virsona (www.Virsona.co), the first-of-its kind upscale social video gaming and entertainment destination, announced that Puttshack President and Chief Operating Officer Logan Powell has invested in the company and will join its Board of Advisors.
Virsona is a brand-new experiential retail concept creating an upscale, technology- and video gaming-infused social living room experience. Designed in partnership with the renowned firm Gensler, Virsona venues embody forward-thinking design and groundbreaking digital technology to create a social video gaming and entertainment experience that makes gaming with friends an exciting night out.
Powell joins Virsona to provide key insight and guidance as founders Grant Kimmerling and Matt Settle build its experiential entertainment venues across the country. Powell brings significant experience to Virsona after leading Puttshack to open 10 locations across the United States and United Kingdom, with an additional 11 venues coming soon. Powell was instrumental in integrating Puttshack with a technology-driven approach that focuses on top quality food and beverage and experiential entertainment.

Through a series of pop-up previews in the Summer 2023, Virsona showcased its proprietary Portals, which comprise semi-private enclosures with tiered seating, multiple high-end displays, audio and custom gaming hardware and software. Virsona is presently on track to open its first permanent location in 2024 in New York City.
“People are used to enjoying entertainment – whether movies, music, sports – in communal, out-of-home experiences anywhere they may be. More than 3 billion people played video games last year, but the default experience is still at home. Virsona provides patrons an elevated gaming experience that includes games from all major consoles and select legacy consoles with options for all skill levels – from the casual to the advanced gamer and everyone in between.
The company pairs its gaming and entertainment offerings with global-flavored food and classic-inspired cocktail renditions, as well as a curated range of beer, wine and spirits. The menu was developed by Michelin star chef Jiho Kim (Joomak Benjuml and DDOBAR in New York) and will feature unique, special dining created on site from scratch. The menu will feature food inspired by flavors from around the globe served in small, shareable dishes.
