Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort has reaffirmed its role in championing the rising stars of women’s golf, staging a memorable 10th edition of the Terre Blanche Ladies Open. Germany’s Theresa De Bochdanovits claimed her first professional title after three thrilling rounds on the resort’s Le Riou course.
Providing a high-quality stage for the LET Access Series (LETAS), the No. 1 golf resort in France welcomed more than 90 international players to compete for a €45,000 prize fund, with the course setting the scene for an intensely competitive week.
De Bochdanovits claimed the title on nine under par after a dramatic finish on the 18th, where Scotland’s Lorna McClymont let slip a two-shot lead.
“We are delighted to have celebrated the 10th edition of the Terre Blanche Ladies Open, which delivered a superb sporting spectacle, with the title decided in dramatic fashion on the very last hole,” said Lionel Gardes-Bus, Director of Golf at Terre Blanche.
By partnering with LETAS and the French Golf Federation (ffgolf), Terre Blanche gives players from around the world a valuable stepping stone towards the highest level of the game.
An anniversary edition championing women’s golf
Over ten editions, the tournament has become a launchpad for elite talent. Sweden’s Linn Grant won here in 2021, before going on to help Europe win the 2026 Solheim Cup, one of many success stories to have started at Terre Blanche.
Lionel Gardes-Bus added: “We are very proud to host this event on the tour and to contribute, year after year, to the emergence of young talent and the development of women’s golf.
“This edition was also a great collective success, thanks to the dedication of all our teams in providing the players with the best possible welcome and playing conditions.”
The pathway to the professional game starts at the European Tour Destination’s own Golf Academy, which trains 67 junior golfers aged 6 to 16 at the Albatros Golf Performance Center, a 64-bay, two-level facility featuring a Toptracer area, four outdoor putting greens, a putting lab and the Callaway High Performance Center for custom fitting.
For these young players, the Ladies Open offers a first-hand look at the professional game on their doorstep, as Terre Blanche continues to raise the profile of women’s golf, both in France and internationally.
