The Golf Business Technology Conference (GBTC) will return to Belfast from 4 to 6 May 2027, with the event moving to one of the most historically significant buildings in the city: the Titanic Hotel Belfast.
The 2027 edition will take place in the heart of the Titanic Quarter, inside the former headquarters and drawing offices of Harland & Wolff. It was in these rooms that the shipbuilders’ designers drew up plans for RMS Titanic and her sister ships more than a century ago. Today the building has been carefully restored as a hotel, with many original features kept, including the soaring Drawing Office, one of the city’s most striking interiors.
“We’ve always wanted GBTC to feel like more than a conference,” said Aboo Tayub, CEO of Golf Business Technology. “Belfast has a proud history of engineering and innovation. Bringing the golf industry’s technology conversation into the rooms where one of the most ambitious engineering projects of its age was designed feels exactly right. I think it will make GBTC2027 our most memorable edition yet.”
Golf Day comes home
After a year away, the GBTC Golf Day returns to Royal Belfast Golf Club. Founded in 1881, Royal Belfast is the oldest golf club in Ireland. Its course sits on the shores of Belfast Lough at Craigavad, just a short drive from the city.
The Golf Day has long been one of the most popular parts of the GBTC programme. It gives delegates, speakers and partners the chance to continue the conversations of the conference on the course. For many returning attendees, the move back to Royal Belfast will bring back fond memories of previous editions.
“Royal Belfast is a special place, and our community has a real affection for it,” said Tayub. “We’re delighted to be going back.”
What to expect
GBTC brings together golf club owners, operators, managers and technology providers from across the UK, Ireland, Europe and beyond. Over three days, delegates will hear from industry leaders and innovators on the issues shaping golf’s future, including:

- Member and customer experience: from the first booking to the 19th hole
- Data, sustainability and commercial growth: what the numbers say, and what works in practice
Alongside the programme, the conference has built a reputation for high-quality networking. It is a place where suppliers and operators meet on equal terms, and where ideas are shared openly across the sector.
