The 12-time Open Qualifying venue hosts two prestigious tournaments:

Pleasington Golf Club, the 12-time Open Qualifying venue, welcomed some of the UK’s finest amateur golfers as it hosted two prestigious tournaments in July.
The Pleasington Putter on July 12 attracted an elite field of top-level amateur women golfers from across the country to compete on the club’s recently upgraded course.
Claiming the prestigious title was Imogen Hall of South Kyme Golf Club, Lincolnshire, who produced an outstanding performance to card a one-over-par 75, finishing two shots clear of rising junior Scout Wilson-Bonner of Formby Ladies Golf Club.

Established in 1982, the Pleasington Putter has a history of attracting outstanding top talent.
Notable past champions include 2014 winner Gemma Clews and 2019 winner Emily Price, who both went on to compete on the Ladies European Tour.
Earlier in the month, it was the men’s turn when The Pleasington Antlers – one half of the prestigious 1891 Trophy, contested in partnership with Clitheroe Golf Club – returned.
The 36-hole championship welcomed a stellar field of players, and tested competitors across Pleasington’s renowned heathland layout.
Daniel Belch of Hart Common Golf Club produced an exceptional performance, setting a new course record of 68 (2-under-par) on the way to a nine-shot victory over the rest of the field.
Pleasington Golf Club, located just one hour from Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds, is among Golf Monthly’s Top 200 Golf Courses in UK & Ireland and is rated the No.1 heathland course in Lancashire.
Having recently completed a five-year ‘Good2Great’ strategic plan, including a major course upgrade, the club has now unveiled a new investment programme designed to enhance the experience for both members and visitors, signifying a new era for the club.
