Ben Lomond Gin, the Official Gin of The Open, has launched its nationwide search for the Serve of The Open, giving golf fans the chance to create a drink for the Championship.
Now in its third year, the 2026 campaign invites the public to create a serve inspired by The Open, bringing fans closer to the Championship and its unique atmosphere.
The winning creation will be served as the Official Serve of The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale, available across key venues including the Ben Lomond Gin Garden, Loch Lomond whiskies bar and R&A hospitality areas.
As Official Gin since 2023, Ben Lomond celebrates golf, landscape and exploration. The campaign encourages inspiration from links heritage, Championship atmosphere and the rituals that make The Open special.
Entries will be judged on taste, originality, story and scalability. Creations must showcase Ben Lomond Gin’s versatile profile, delivering a refreshing, memorable serve suited to a day at The Open.
Elsie Cinnamond, Drinks Development Lead at Ben Lomond Gin, said: “The Open is one of sport’s great occasions, and this campaign brings fans closer to it. We’re inviting the public to create a serve that could be enjoyed by thousands during the Championship. Whether you’re a golf fan or love The Open’s atmosphere, this is a chance to be part of it. Seeing a fan-created serve at The Open makes it even more special.”
Finalists will compete at a live judging event at Luss Distillery, presenting to an expert panel. Public entrants will be notified by Monday 4 May if they have secured a place in the final round. The winner will receive VIP Open tickets, accommodation, a hamper and cash prize.
The 154th Open takes place at Royal Birkdale from 12–19 July. Spectators can enjoy the Official Serve across the course as part of the Championship experience.
