Innovations in AI Training and Real-Time Competitive Play Bring Gamification to Golf

Uneekor, a global leader in golf simulation and performance technology, closed out the 2026 PGA Show by showcasing a suite of innovations coming later this year, designed to redefine how golfers train, compete, and connect.

At the show, Uneekor offered attendees an early look at two upcoming software developments within its platform. First, AIMY, a conversational, voice-activated AI assistant introduced as a new component of Uneekor’s AI Trainer, demonstrated how golfers can interact with swing data through guided analysis and coaching over time. Second, Global Online Tournaments, an upcoming competitive feature within GAME DAY, previewed how players will be able to compete in real time on a global scale. Both offerings are slated for release later this year.

“At Uneekor, we’re making continuous software innovation a top priority,” said James Murphy, Uneekor Global Marketing Director.“With AIMY and the Global Online Tournaments feature, we’re combining the tangible, data-driven training of a launch monitor with the engagement and excitement of gamified experiences. Our goal is to create a learning and competitive ecosystem, whether practicing alone or playing with others around the world.”

AIMY: Your Personal Golf Assistant

At the 2026 PGA Show, Uneekor gave attendees a first look at AIMY, a conversational, voice-activated AI assistant within its AI Trainer interface. Visitors interacted with AIMY to ask questions about their swings, receive real-time coaching insights, and explore structured training guidance. The prototype generated enthusiastic reactions from attendees, who appreciated how intuitive and interactive the experience felt, and how it helped them engage with swing data in a natural, conversational way.

Key AIMY features:

  • AI-Powered Coaching: Conversational, voice-activated guidance for real-time coaching and feedback based on each golfer’s unique mechanics.
  • Metric-Driven Assessments: Clear evaluations paired with step-by-step recommendations to target specific swing issues.
  • Long-Term Learning & Insights: LLM-powered performance reports that analyze trends over time and translate data into meaningful coaching insights.
  • 3D Body-Aware Analysis: Personalized swing analysis using body calibration and movement data for deeper biomechanical understanding.
  • Structured Training Programs: Skill-based curricula designed to address recurring issues and guide players through progressive improvement.
  • Multi-Device Ecosystem: Designed for use across Uneekor simulators, PC environments, and future mobile experiences.

While AIMY is still in development, the PGA Show prototype offered a clear vision of its potential to transform practice sessions and support coaching. With its conversational, voice-activated interface, AIMY allows golfers to engage in interactive, self-guided learning, while providing coaches a powerful tool for delivering data-informed instruction. Designed with facilities in mind, AIMY is shaping up to be a flexible, scalable training solution that enhances both player development and coaching efficiency, evolving alongside golfers of all levels as Uneekor continues to refine the system.

GAME DAY Global Online Tournaments: Competitive Play Anywhere

Uneekor also showcased Global Online Tournaments, an upcoming competitive feature within its GAME DAY platform. Designed to expand how players connect and compete, the feature will allow users to create and join tournaments in real time from anywhere in the world, with support for multiple competitive formats, including stroke play, scramble, and foursome. Played on world-class courses rendered in 4K resolution and built with Unreal Engine, Global Online Tournaments offer a shared competitive experience that brings golfers together regardless of location.

Global Online Tournaments

To showcase the competitive spirit of GAME DAY Global Online Tournaments, Uneekor hosted daily challenges, inviting attendees to compete for the lowest score. The booth drew a steady crowd, with a high-energy, competitive atmosphere fueling excitement throughout the day. Scores were tracked across all players, offering a real-world glimpse into how the feature can support leagues, events, and organized competition without requiring golfers to be in the same physical space. Each day concluded with the lowest-scoring player taking home an Uneekor EYE MINI.

Looking Ahead

Together, AIMY and GAME DAY Global Online Tournaments reflect Uneekor’s continued investment in software innovation and its vision for a more connected golf ecosystem. By blending conversational AI training with flexible, real-time competitive play, Uneekor is laying the groundwork for experiences that support individual improvement while bringing golfers together, whether practicing solo, coaching others, or competing globally.

Both AIMY and GAME DAY Global Online Tournaments are slated to launch later this year, as Uneekor continues to refine and expand its software platform to meet the evolving needs of golfers, instructors, and facilities worldwide.
